The Chuquicamata mine is The largest open pit in the world with mining production Copper, gold an silver, and copper as the main product. The mining operations carried out by Coldeco at once owner of Chuquicamata mine in Chile and  Open pit mining in this Chuquicamata  is estimated to have a length of approximately 4.3 km , with  3km wide, with a depth of about 850m and Chuquicamata is also the largest open pit copper mine in the world

Chuquicamata (choo-kee-kə-MAH-tə), or as it is more familiarly known with "Chuqui" , located 16 km from Calama at 2,850 meters above sea level, has been operating since 1910.

In 2014 the Chuquicamata mine has produced copper as the main product of about 340.4kt of fine copper in cathode and copper concentrate,  production of gold produced from the mine is reached 757 t gold and silver 186.9 t.

The Pueblo Viejo mine is one of the largest gold mines in the Dominican Republic. In 2014 Pueblo Viejo mine completed its ramp up and Pueblo Viejo now the only mine in the world with annual production of more than one million ounces of gold (100% basis) at all-in sustaining costs below $700 per ounce for the next three years (2015-2017).

The Pueblo Viejo mine is located in the south of the country in Azua Province, in the Dominican Republic, approximately 100 kilometres northwest of the capital city of Santo Domingo.

In 2009, Pueblo Viejo Dominicana Corporation (PVDC) was formed by Barrick Gold and Goldcorp to develop the Pueblo Viejo mine, Goldcorp holds a 40% interest and  Barrick Gold Corporation 60% owning the remaining  interest as the mine operator. And the Pueblo Viejo mine began commercial production in January, 2013

Process Of Mining In Veladero Gold Mine Argentina


The Veladero gold mine is one of the largest gold mines in Argentina, and in the world. It is located 189 miles/305 km northwest of San Juan, at a height between 4000 and 4850 meters above sea level and located in the San Juan province of Argentina, immediately to the south of the Pascua-Lama property, Veladero gold mine in the highly prospective Frontera district.

The Veladero mine property contains several large deposits of gold and silver mineralisation in altered, silicified volcanic rock, and various types of silicified breccia. Main-stage mineralisation is superimposed on the Miocene volcanic vent complex of diatreme breccias, associated pyroclastic rocks, flow domes, and porphyry intrusions 

Process of mining in Veladero gold mine Argentina is a conventional mining open-pit operation where ore is crushed by a two-stage crushing process with drilling and blasting of ore and waste. Mineral rock transported and carried by a conventional truck  with shovel operation and transported via overland conveyor and trucks to the leach pad area.
